Quaid-e-Azam National Ranking Weightlifting Championship to begin Dec 25

The Pakistan Weightlifting Federation is organizing the Quaid-e-Azam National Ranking Men's and Women's Weightlifting on December 25th and 26th in Lahore to commemorate Quaid-e-Azam's birthday.
The event will serve as a trial for two major upcoming competitions, the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship in India in 2025 and the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2025.
The championship is aimed at selecting athletes for the Commonwealth and Islamic Solidarity Games. Only registered male and female athletes affiliated with the federation can participate.
Instead of team trophies, individual medals will be awarded. And event will be for qualification for the Commonwealth Championship in India is a qualifying round for the Commonwealth Games in Scotland in 2026.
The selected athletes will participate in a training camp.
The Commonwealth trials are also a stepping stone for qualification for the Commonwealth Games in Scotland in 2026.
Participants must submit their entries, adhering to new bodyweight categories, to General Secretary Nuzhat Jabeen and Amjad Amin Butt by December 15.
Selected athletes will proceed to a national training camp for preparation.

Men: 60kg, 65kg, 71kg, 79kg, 88kg, 98kg, 110kg, +110kg
Women: 48kg, 53kg, 58kg, 63kg, 69kg, 77kg, 86kg, +86kg
