PTI under fire over unbridled price hike

February 11, 2020 01:22 AM

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has demanded registration of an FIR against Prime Minister Imran Khan for what she called guarding stockpile mafia.

She said: “PM Imran Khan has been patronising cronies involved in creating artificial shortage of essential foodstuff like flour and sugar. Sugar mafia and flour hoarders have ganged up.”

Coming down hard on special food relief package, the former state minister said the government has been hoodwinking innocent people.

She continued: “Don’t fool innocent people. Net big fish. Let small traders do their business. Why secret storerooms of Jehangir Tareen and Khusro Bakhtiyar have not been searched so far?”

About price control mechanism, Marriyum said: “As you’re backing such mafias, who can dare lasso these gangs?

“Ask your accomplices about profit percentage in 16-month export to find out reasons for rise in inflation.”

She questioned delay in publicising inflation report

“If Imran Khan lets public audit, fraud of billions will be unearthed,” the minister maintained.
