The Supreme Court has provided relief to former DG Haj Rao Shakeel by turning his dismissal from service to forced retirement.

Rao Shakeel wanted reinstatement on the post but the court remarked that “You deserve forced retirement as you are accused of negligence and taking 350 riyals from a Haji.”

The court also disposed of the government's appeal against his acquittal.

“You will get all the privileges on your forced retirement,” Justice Sajjad Ali Shah said.
