Civil society, youth in Swat hold protest for corrupt politician’s accountability

Streets of Mingora, the capital city of Swat valley on Saturday echoed with slogans 'we want accountability first and then elections', reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The protesters comprised a large number of civil society members, youths, elders, traders, teachers, and students, who held banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the corruption. 

The youth of Swat had been campaigning for accountability and then holding elections in the province through a social media account "torghal" for the last month and now came out on the streets. They were joined by the representatives of civil society and others people.    

The Mingora city was abuzz with slogans of "accountability" against politicians accused of corruption. 

They demanded the government take strict action against corrupt politicians. They also vowed to expand the protest to other areas of the province soon.
