World Cup U19: Australia Clinch title, defeating India by 79 runs in final

In a thrilling final match held in Benoni, South Africa, on Sunday, Australia emerged victorious over India in the 2024 ICC U19 World Cup, clinching the title by a margin of 79 runs, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Sunday. 

The Australian team displayed remarkable prowess, setting a challenging target of 254 runs, before successfully bowling out Team India for 174. This decisive victory marks Australia's third triumph over India in an ICC final.

Previously, Australia's Men's side had secured victories against India in two significant ICC finals. In June 2023, the Men's team triumphed over India in the final of the World Test Championship, winning by a commanding 209-run margin at The Oval in London. Additionally, in a stunning performance at home, Pat Cummins' side emerged victorious over India in the ODI World Cup final on 19th November 2023, claiming victory by six wickets.

The U19 World Cup victory adds another accolade to Australia's cricketing achievements, underscoring the team's talent and determination on the global stage. The match showcased the competitive spirit and skill of both teams, with Australia ultimately emerging as the deserving champions of the tournament.
