All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) has challenged the Punjab government's action of non-payment of dues in Lahore High Court (LHC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Justice Khalid Ishaq heard the petition of All Pakistan Newspapers Society on Tuesday and forwarded the case file to the LHC Chief Justice remarking that two similar cases were already pending with LHC.
Justice Khalid Ishaq further remarked that it would be appropriate to club all the cases before a single bench.
All Pakistan Newspapers Association has approached High Court over non-payment of dues of over Rs710 million.
It may be mentioned that APNS has previously approached High Court over non-payment of dues of over Rs1.2 billion.
Additional Advocate General Khawaja Mohsin Abbas appeared on behalf of the Punjab government.
