The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has decided not to postpone interviews of the 'successful' candidates even after the paper leak scandal.
Interviews will be held on scheduled dates despite a protest by the candidates outside the PPSC office on Monday (today), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PPSC officials said it would be decided whether to conduct the exam again immediately or after completion of the investigation into charges against the arrested accused.
The PPSC administration has decided to continue all interviews till completion of the anti-corruption investigation, the TV channel reported.
Interviews of the candidates seeking posts of associate professor, assistant sub-inspector and lecturers of English, History and Arabic will also be held as per schedule.
On the other hand, candidates staged a protest against the PPSC scandal in Lahore where protesters demanded resignation of the chairman and secretary of the PPSC. The protesters demanded that strict security be ensured during printing and distribution of papers of the Punjab Public Service Commission. They said they would expand the protests if the PPSC does not review its examination system. The Anti-Corruption Establishment has arrested 11 people linked to the paper leak scandal. As a result, the PPSC cancelled the examinations for Tehsildar's posts.
