An average of 60 to 70 million dollars is being smuggled from Pakistan to Afghanistan every month, reported 24News HD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to the channel report, the Pakistani government has prepared a special report and decided to take up the matter with Afghanistan in the coming days.
The channel report said the smuggled dollars from Pakistan to Afghanistan are being used to open LCs in UAE and Turkey.
There is the smuggling of sugar, tyres, mobile phones, oil, and other valuables from Pakistan to Afghanistan too and these smuggled items are re-exported to Pakistan from Afghanistan to generate revenue for the betterment of the Afghan economy.
On the other hand, Pakistan's economy suffers from the smuggling of dollars in cash and the re-export of Pakistani smuggled valuables as smuggling ever puts pressure on the country's economy, foreign exchange reserves, and currency.
