Operation to rescue trapped coalminers continues

Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) teams on Saturday continued rescue operation for safe recovery of eight coalminers who were stuck inside a mine located in Spin Karez area of Quetta, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Chief Mine Inspector told media persons that dead bodies of four labourers were recovered from the mine while efforts were underway to rescue eight labourers.

Deputy Director Rescue Asghar Jamali has said that PDMA teams had already cleared an area of about 3600 feet.

He hoped that the PDMA team will rescue the remaining eight labourers from the mine.
