Gone are the days when farmers used to plough fields amid scorching heat.
Two Pakistani brothers from Sakrand, an area in Shaheed Benazirabad district in Sindh, have developed a technique to fit an air-conditioner in their wide-body open-air tractor, giving hope to farmers that they would also avoid the harsh weather while in action in their fields, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
As everyone wants to stay cool and finish his work under the burning sun, this new AC-fitted tractor comes as a sigh of relief for many in the region where the mercury normally stays above 45 degree Celsius during most of the summer.
Both mechanic brothers of Sakrand made an air-conditioned tractor to ease the problems of the farmers by installed an AC in their tractor which cost them around Rs200,000.
One of the brothers told 24NewsHD TV channel, “Air-conditioned tractor will protect the farmers from the heat and it will also keep them safe from dust and diseases.”
“Local farmers are also happy with this invention,” the second brother commented.
Both brothers have become overnight heroes in their area and also on the social media and people associated with agriculture are showing interest in the new ‘cool’ tractor.
