Four security men embraced martyrdom in a joint anti-terrorism swoop in Peshawar on Wednesday, Inter-Services Public Relations said.
According to the military media wing, security forces and police conducted a joint intelligence-based operation in the Hassan Khel area of Peshawar and killed three terrorists – including commander Abdul Raheem. The troops recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition too, it added.
The brave sons of the soil who embraced martyrdom are Sepoy Muhammad Idrees from Swabi, Sepoy Badam Gul (from Kohat) and Sub Inspector Tajmir Shah, from Peshawar District and Assistant Sub Inspector Muhammad Akram from Mansehra.
The ISPR stated that Abdul Raheem was highly wanted and the government had announced Rs6 million head money on him. He was responsible for the Shahadat of Captain Hussain Jehangir Shaheed and Havildar Shafiqullah Shaheed on May 26.
The security forces stand shoulder-to-shoulder with other law enforcement agencies to ensure peace and stability across Pakistan, ISPR maintained, adding that such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve.
