Time to give relief after restoration of economy, says PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the economy has been restored and now the country is on the path of progress, reported 24News HD TV channel.

Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday chaired the meeting of the parliamentary party, shortly before the government presented its third annual budget in the National Assembly. On the occasion, he said the development work would be speeded up after the budget. He said the economy was in a bad situation when he took over as prime minister so he could not give relief to the masses. He said they had focused to give relief to unprivileged strata in the budget 2021-22.

The PM said that he completely understood the problems facing by the parliamentarians as they faced the reaction of the people. He said agriculture and farmer were their focus. He said the country’s future was linked with agriculture. He said they would give interest-free debts to the farmers who owned 12 or less than 12 acres of land. He said the middle man’s role would be eliminated so the farmer could get the benefit. He said the banks were afraid of giving debts so non-government organizations like Akhuwat were being engaged in this regard.

The meeting was attended by the parliamentarians of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf including the cabinet members wherein they discussed the matters pertaining to politics and the parliamentary matters
