An aircraft-shaped balloon, having the logo of PIA (Pakistan International Airlines) inscribed on it, was found in Indian-held Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district.
According to the Indian media reports, security forces seized the balloon and launched a search operation in the area to investigate where the balloon came from.
The mysterious balloon, which is white and green in colour, was found lying on the ground in Sotra Chak village of Hiranagar Hiranagar in Kathua district. The pictures of it went viral on social media. The balloon was shaped exactly in the form of an aircraft with windows and doors painted on it.
On receiving the information, the Rajbagh police team reached the spot and seized the balloon. The matter is under police investigation.
Notably, this suspicious balloon is not the first to be recovered in the Indian territory.
In May, too, an airplane-shaped balloon, having "PIA" imprinted on it, was recovered from J&K's Poonch district.
In February and March, two similar balloons were reportedly found in the Ghaghwal area of the Samba district.
In January, another aircraft-shaped balloon was found in the Khour area by the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Such an incident also occurred in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla in February.
Ties between Pakistan and India remain tense due to Delhi’s warmongering attitude. Indian troops have been capturing various objects and animals over spying suspicion.
Last year, the Indian Border Security Force detained an intrepid Pakistani ‘spy’ pigeon.
Officials in Kathua said the bird had flown across the border and they would try to decipher the message.
