Prime Minister Imran Khan has agreed to bring a change in the Punjab government set-up, revealed Federal Minister for Housing Chaudhry Tariq Bashir Cheema, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Tariq Bashir Cheema disclosed on Friday that the federal government’s committee had conveyed to them that the prime minister had agreed to change Punjab chief minister and also extended them congratulations. On their inquiry, the committee informed that the prime minister had nodded to change in Punjab, Cheema added.
On our further inquiry about the timing for the change, the committee told them that this would be brought about after the no-confidence motion was over, Cheema said.
Government’s ally Tariq Cheema said “The government should not consider them a child. How can trust it that it will honour its commitment after no-trust motion.”
Cheema said the Opposition had offered them Punjab chief ministership while the government had offered them “lollypop”.
He further said the prime minister should take things seriously as he had sent an Under-16 team into the field.
Cheema said the pressure is building on PML-Q for a final decision and the party would have to make one in next 48 hours.
It may be mentioned here that Tariq Bashir Cheema had also called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Monday last. Matters relating to overall political situation in the country were discussed in the meeting.
