The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has fined four players including Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan and Fazal Haq Farooqui for violating rules and regulations during Pakistan Super League 8 matches.
Fazal Haq Farooqui was found guilty of breaching the code of conduct in the match against Lahore Qalandars when he used foul language and verbal abuse after dismissing a batsman in the 19th. He was fined 10% of his match fee.
The PCB also fined Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan, Multan Sultans batsman Shaun Masood and Tim David for breaching the code of conduct.
Tim David expressed his displeasure over not declaring a ball wide, he did not accept the mistake, the match officials upheld the decision of the on-field umpires, while Shadab Khan objected to a ball being declared wide and argued with the umpire. He was also fined 10% of his match fee.
Multan Sultans batsman Shan Masood objected to the umpire’s decision not to declare a short-pitched ball wide during batting.
It is to be noted that players who breach Level 1 of the Code of Conduct will be fined 10% of their match fees.
