Imran announces to lead election rally in Lahore

Says people of Lahore to come out of their homes in droves tomorrow

March 11, 2023 08:43 PM

Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday announced he would lead a rally from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore at 2:00 PM tomorrow (Sunday, March 12, 2023) in connection with an election campaign, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing the party workers and supporters via a video link, he said that the people of Lahore would show tomorrow that they would not surrender to oppression. “People of the city will come out of their homes in large numbers tomorrow,” he said emphatically.

Imran demanded the constitution of a judicial commission to probe the death of his party’s diehard worker Ali Bilal alias Zille Shah.

“Police threw Zille’s body on a road after brutally torturing him,” Imran said, adding, “It’s a shame that initially it was said that Zille had been killed. But now it is being said that he died due to an accident.”

What befell Zille, he added, was happening across the country. “But no one is there to question this barbarity,” the PTI chief wondered.

He regretted that those very officers who had committed atrocities against PTI leaders and workers on May 25, 2022 had been appointed on key posts in Punjab.
