Mutilated body of abducted Gujranwala trader found

The mutilated body of a trader who was snatched 22 days ago was found from an under-construction house of a private housing society in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Reportedly, trader Shahid Nazir was kidnapped while coming to home from his factory on February 16.  

A kidnapping case was registered in Baghbanpura police station.

After examining the body, the police said that the trader was shot to death. 

According to police sources, Nazir’s sister-in-law murdered him with the help of her paramour. Police have arrested her paramour, Umar.

Police have started investigation whether the murder was result of property dispute or something else.

The dead body was handed over to the heirs after its post mortem.

Two dead in exchange of fire between two groups 

Separately, two people were killed and 4 others got injured during an exchange of fire between two groups in village 36 South in Sargodha.

The dead were identified as Sheraz Bhatti and Sajawal Ghuman and their bodies were removed to the mortuary for post mortem. 

According to sources, the injured were shifted to a hospital where the condition of two was stated to be critical. 

After getting information, a heavy police contingent under the leadership of SP Anam Faryal reached the venue and collected evidence. 

Taking notice of the incident, Sargodha RPO demanded report and ordered for immediate arrest of the accused. 

The case was registered in Kirana police station.
