NEPRA increases K-Electric power tariff by Rs3.93 per unit

NEPRA increased the electricity rates of Rs3.93 per unit for Karachi-Electric in the head of the monthly fuel charge adjustment for the month of March 2023 on Thursday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, NEPRA issued the notification of the approval of an Rs3.93 per unit increase in monthly fuel charges adjustment of K Electric for March.

The channel report said, K-Electric had requested an increase of Rs4.49 per unit but the NEPRA approved Rs3.93 per unit that will be applicable only to the bills for the month of May.
According to the notification of NEPRA, this increase in rates will apply to all K-Electric customers except Lifeline and electric vehicle charging stations.
