A Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) former member of the provincial assembly (MPA) has tortured a teacher for stopping him to enter in an examination centre in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to reports, former MPA Sadaqat Hussain was stopped by a teacher when he was trying to enter the examination centre forcibly.
Teacher alleged that Sadaqat Hussain came to the examination center with a recommendation to copy a few students.
The teacher said that when I refused to listen him, he got angry and started torturing him.
He said that he was threatened and tortured in the presence of police.
In reaction, an MQM spokesman said that the party has suspended the basic membership of Sadaqat Hussain in connection with the incident which took place at the Orangi Town school.
He said the party has constituted an investigation committee to probe the incident transparently.
Reacting to developments, Sadaqat Hussain denied forcibly entering the school. “This is my school and there is no exam centre set up there,” he added.
He claimed there is a conspiracy behind this incident to tarnish the school’s repute.
