In Faisalabad, little girls are increasingly vulnerable to sexual abuse, with reports indicating that an incident occurs approximately every three days, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Monday.
According to the channel report, this year alone, more than 100 little girls have fallen victim to abuse in Faisalabad, with 80% of cases reportedly involving neighbourhood residents as perpetrators.
This disturbing trend aligns with the July 2024 findings from the NGO Sahil's "Six Months Cruel Numbers" report, which documented 1,630 child abuse cases nationwide between January and June 2024.
Sahil's report highlights that 59% of the victims were girls, while 41% were boys.

Geographically, 78 percent of the cases were reported from Punjab, 11 percent from Sindh, 6 percent from ICT, 3 percent from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and 2 percent from Balochistan, AJK, and GB.
