Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, who is also a senator, has not been paid Rs50 million in salary for the last several months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Parliamentary sources told 24News TV that it was yet to be determined that under which head the minister was to be paid the amount.
On the other hand, the Senate Secretariat, too, rejected reports that the PML-N senator had been paid the outstanding amount.
The sources disclosed that Dar had not demanded his salary from the Senate Secretariat either.
They further said that since Dar had now become the finance minister, therefore, it was now Cabinet Division’s job to pay him the salary.
