Sindh Assembly member and Pakistan People’s Party President for Women department Faryal Talpur Tuesday met with the delegation of an international NGO—Save the Children—at Zardari House in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel,
The delegation included the Global Humanitarian Director Gabriella Waaijman, Pakistan Country Director Khurram Gondal and Director Policy Advocacy Usman Aslam.
In the meeting, the problems faced by the Children in the current flood situation and other matters of mutual interest were discussed.
Faryal Talpur said that Women and Children are affected the most in any crisis. Due to climatic changes, record rains affected Sindh severely and has caused a very major crisis. The severity of the crisis is so wide and deep that the provincial government cannot deal with it alone.
The situation demands that all governments, institutions, organizations and individuals work together to transform this crisis into sustainable development, said PPP women department president.
Faryal Talpur appreciated the efforts of Save the Children in the flood-affected areas and assured all possible support from the government of Sindh.
