In a great gesture of solidarity, former Pakistani actress Zarnish Khan has wholeheartedly and humbly apologized to renowned religious scholar Dr Zakir Naik for online backlash following his ‘controversial’ speeches, and the lack of hospitality he had to confront in country Pakistan.
In case the readers are not aware, Dr Zakir Naik is on a long visit to Pakistan as a ‘state guest’ and delivering his impactful speeches at various events organized particularly for his great honor: however, it was some of his a bit ‘provocative’ remarks regarding some sensitive issues particularly about ‘women’ which has led people to express disappointment.
The Islamic preacher, during his latest address to an event claimed, "There is no way an unmarried woman can be respected. So, they have two options. First, get married to a man who already has a wife, or she will become a 'bazaari aurat'—public property. I don't have a better word. Any respectable woman would opt for the first option."
Showbiz stars and the public also condemned his remarks and expressed opinions.
Another video is circulating on social media and also being posted by Zarnish Khan on her Instagram handle in which Zakir Baik can be seen complaining that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) refused to waive charges for his extra baggage while he was travelling to the country.
Zarnish Khan, while feeling grief over Airport staff members' unexpected behavior and observing severe public backlash also, took to her Instagram handle to express support and apology.
She wrote: “Har cheez Main Sharminda krna Farz Smjhti Hai Hmari Qoam. Shame on Us. Tsk, Tsk, tsk. Sharam Ka mouqam Hai. I humbly apologised Dr Zakir Naik.” ( This nation must have to bow down our heads. Shame on us I humbly apologized)
