Corn cooking oil price raised by Rs370 per litre

The price of corn cooking oil has been increased by a whopping Rs370 per litre, nearly 80 percent rise, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Prices of different brands of ghee and cooking oil have been increased up to Rs97 per kg at Utility Stores which were supposed to present commodities on subsidised rates.

The authorities have notified the inflated prices of various products. 

Corn cooking oil price has been increased by Rs370 per litre climbing up to Rs870 per litre  (almost double) while the price of 1.2 kg of whitener has been increased by Rs40. 

The sweets are also the latest victim of inflation as sweets of various types including kheer and custard have been increased by Rs10. Another essential commodity tissue paper box price was increased by Rs15 and tissue roll’s rate went up by Rs5. 

The price of 50 grams of face cream has been increased by Rs40.

The prices of a box of garlic bbq, pizza sause, soap, tea mixer, and liquid cleaner have also been increased.

Moreover, the price engine oil of cars has been increased from Rs4,000 to Rs4,500 as the US dollar continued its upward trend and cross Rs168 mark against the Pakistani rupee.

Oil Change workshops owners said that the inflated prices were due to increase in dollar price.
