CM Naqvi announces ministerial committee for promotion of agricultural research

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi Monday announced the ministerial committee for the preparation of final recommendations for the promotion of agricultural research with the consultation of all stakeholders.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, provincial ministers SM Tanveer, Bilal Afzal, Dr Javed Akram and Ibrahim Murad are included in the committee.
This announcement was made by the CM in the consultation session with professors, researchers and farmers of the University of Agriculture Multan.

The session also agreed to promote agricultural research in a sustainable manner.
Punjab CM Naqvi, Provincial Ministers, Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police, and Secretaries, travelled in coasters from the South Punjab Secretariat and reached the University of Agriculture.
During the session, professors, researchers and farmers presented suggestions and recommendations for increasing crop production and access to modern seeds.
They also appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi for good production of cotton.
Addressing the session, CM Mohsin Naqvi said his government will take guidance and feedback from professors, researchers and farmers for the development of the agricultural sector in the province.
He said, unfortunately, there is no research in the agricultural sector so there is a need of hour that research institutes to take the lead for research.

PM Naqvi inspects construction of Nishtar-II project

Later, CM Naqvi also inspected the Nishtar-II project with provincial ministers, secretaries, IG Punjab, and other officials.
He visited the under-construction emergency, waiting area for attendants of patients, admin block, radiology department, pharmacy, operation theatres, CT scan room, basement, and cafe building.
The Secretary of the Communications department and Project Director of Nishtar-II Multan gave a briefing about the completion of work on the project.
Mohsin Naqvi instructed the project officials to complete construction as early as possible as the completion of the Nishtar-II project will reduce the burden on Nishtar Hospital, Mohsin.
