Prominent Indian journalist Rajdeep Sardesai voiced his frustration as rain played spoilsport in the much-anticipated cricket match between arch-rivals Pakistan and India, emphasizing that the Asia Cup should not have been hosted in Pakistan, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Taking the social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, Rajdeep Sardesai lamented that the Indian cricket team had not travelled to Pakistan since 2008 due to various reasons, including political tensions. He believed that the current Asia Cup presented a prime opportunity for India to resume cricketing relations with its neighbor.

Sardesai pointed out that participating in the Asia Cup would have provided the Indian team with valuable match practice and preparation for the upcoming World Cup. The journalist believed that competing in such tournaments, especially in the rival's territory, was crucial for honing the team's skills and strategy.
