A massive fire that broke out in two factories in New Karachi Industrial Area on Wednesday morning could not be doused even after six hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Assistant Commissioner Gulberg Neha Shah has visited the affected factories.
Talking to the media AC Neha Shah said that firebrigade personnel are working to distinguish the fire, it will take few more hours to put out the blaze completely.
She added that unrelated people are being removed from the building and that the street has been closed because the building has become unsafe.
Earlier, a heavy fire broke out in two factories in New Karachi Industrial Area on Wednesday morning.
According to the firebrigade officials a blaze swept through a garments godown of a factory’s ground floor whereas the other factory manufactures spare parts of motorcycles.
Tall flames have engulfed the garments godown, said the firebrigade officials. The fire late spread to the second floor of the factory sending panic wave among the workers.
The Water Board authorities have rushed water tankers to the site.
After getting information, Rangers and police personnel have also arrived at the scene.
