Punjab Police's Special Operations Cell has successfully recovered a 4-year-old abducted girl Zunaira Fatima from Kuwait, reported 24|NewsHD TV channel.
According to spokesperson, the child was kidnapped in 2023 from Sialkot. The suspects involved in the kidnapping have also been arrested from Kuwait.
A special team led by Inspector Khalid Waryah left Kuwait along with the girl and the accused. They are expected to arrive at Lahore Airport late night.
The arrested suspects, Anwar Iqbal and Sadaf Iqbal, are close relatives of the girl. They allegedly kidnapped her using fake documents and fled to Kuwait.
The girl's mother has died and her father filed the case with Sialkot Police.
Punjab Police had issued a Yellow Notice for the missing child and Red Notices for the wanted suspects with coordination of Interpol. Kuwaiti authorities handed over both the child and the accused to the Punjab Police team.
