Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday without protocol and spent about 100 minutes in the Bureau’s office at Thokhar Niaz Baig in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The TV channel reported that the chief minister appeared before the NAB over charges of awarding an illegal liquor licence to a private hotel, which is the right of Director General Excise and recorded his statement to NAB officials.
The chief minister presented all the documents to the NAB officials regarding the issuance of a liquor licence to a private hotel and answered questions along with filing a written statement.
The NAB has handed over a questionnaire comprising 12 queries to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and asked him to submit a reply till August 18 over issuance of a liquor licence to a private hotel.
The TV channel reported that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar stopped all leaders and ministers from coming along with him to the NAB office.

Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan said Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar's appearance before the NAB without protocol is a prime example of adherence to the law and the constitution.
Chauhan said Usman Buzdar's appearance is a great lesson for the evil, dishonest and destructive political opponents.
