The government Friday notified converting Murree Punjab House into Kohsar University.

Two years ago, the PTI government announced it the plan to establish Kohsar University in the hilly resort town.

The directives to transfer the land spanning more than 96 kanals to the Higher Education Department issued.

The decision is in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan to use government buildings for the larger collective interest.

After the establishment of Kohsar University in Punjab House Murree, the decision will be taken about varsities in other tehsils of the district.
