Locals burn down house of man who murdered a girl, torched her body

The house of the accused who had killed and later torched the body of a seven-year-old girl near Peshawar was razed and set on fire just a day after his arrest and confession, as anger gripped the area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

He was a relative and neighbour of Rabia whose body had been found from a local graveyard in the same area on November 19. The innocent victim had gone missing a day before around 3pm as she left her house to buy candies from a neighbourhood shop.

She was a resident of Mohalla Balo Khel Bala of Badaber – a village located on Kohat Road around 10 kilometres south of the city.

But the very next day, this gruesome act was revealed as the locals managed to recover the body after hours-long hectic efforts.

The accused had fled the area and went into hiding but was arrested in Khyber district by the Aman Lashkar (peace militia). He confessed to committing the crime and cited a family dispute as reason for opting to this barbaric act as a revenge.

Soon after the founding the body, the locals had started protesting against the tragic incident and blocked the Kohat Road while demanding immediate arrest of the culprits.

It had forced the police to form a team the SSP Investigation as the Peshawar police ordered the officials to immediatey arrest the responsible persons.
