LHC adjourns Babar Azam’s petition in sexual harassment case till Dec 16

The Lahore High Court has adjourned hearing of petition of former captain of Pakistan cricket team Babar Azam in a sexual harassment case without any proceedings on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Babar Azam has challenged the trial court's order to register the case in the Lahore High Court and the court has suspended the trial court's order to register the case.
Justice Muhammad Waheed Khan referred the case to the court of Justice Asjad Javed Gharal.
The court ordered the case should be presented in the court of Justice Asjad Javed Gharal on the next hearing.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case until December 16.
Justice Muhammad Waheed Khan heard the petition of former captain of the cricket team Babar Azam.
Justice Asjad Javed Gharal has heard this case before, it is appropriate that he should hear the case, Justice Muhammad Waheed Khan remarked.
The woman who filed the application to register a case against Babar Azam appeared in the court.
Law officers of the federal and Punjab governments were present in the courtroom.
A miscellaneous application for adjournment of the case has been filed by the lawyer of Babar Azam.
