Omar Ayub’s speech angers PPP lawmakers in NA

National Assembly witnessed pandemonium on Wednesday after Omar Ayub’s “A man was named ‘Mr 10 percent’ due to corruption” remark.
The federal minister for energy’s comment stirred an uproar in the house with the whole PPP contingent was quick on their feet protesting against Omar Ayub’s speech.
The PPP lawmakers rushed towards the minister but he was shielded by his colleagues. PPP’s Agha Rafiullah raised slogans against Omar Ayub and he along with others were involved in a scuffle with the treasury benches.
Despite Ali Muhammad’s mediatory efforts to cool down the matter, the house presented scene of a fish market and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri had to suspend the proceedings for ten minutes.
While addressing the House, Omar Ayub criticized the opposition parties for presenting their stance without proper arguments. “We were waiting for some practical suggestions from the opposition members but found nothing sensible in their speeches,” he added.
