Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman has said the government lauds the participation of the business community in charitable activities including providing quality education and health facilities to the people of the backward areas.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday, the governor was speaking at an event organized by APTMA chairman Dr. Gohar Ijaz and the non-profit organization Green Crescent Trust.
The governor said that the government will provide full support to the NGOs involved in providing education facilities to the children of the poor strata of society.
Balighur Rehman stressed that the development of a nation is not possible without education.
Provincial Industry and Commerce Minister SM Tanveer and prominent business and social personalities including industrialists participated in the event.
