The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday rejected former Test cricketer Danish Kaneria’s appeal seeking to play the domestic leagues, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The SHC announced the verdict on the plea of Danish Kaneria.
Danish through his counsel advocate Asad Ifthikhar pleaded to become part of the PCB rehabilitation programme.
However, the PCB lawyer said that an English county had slapped a lifetime ban on Danish and even a UK court had rejected the cricketer's appeal as he was accused of spot-fixing.
The lawyer of Danish said that he had accepted that he only arranged the meeting but did not commit the spot-fixing.
He informed the court that those cricketers who fixed matches have been allowed to play the matches.
His counsel also pleaded to the court that his client be granted permission for local coaching.
