Three major factions of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Thursday reunited under the leadership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Convener Khalid Maqbool Saddiqui as Farooq Sattar and Mustafa Kamal announced to end their differences.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the main leadership of all three factions including MQM-P Convener Khalid Maqbool Saddiqui, Pak Sirzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Mustafa Kamal and MQM Restoration Committee chief Farooq Sattar and others addressed a joint press conference and announced their reunification under the banner of MQM-P.
Holding a press conference Saddiqui said all factions of MQM have decided to unite and now it is the responsibility of all to take Pakistan to its true destination.
Pak Sirzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Mustafa Kamal announced to merger of his party into the MQM for the betterment of the Muhajir community in Karachi and other areas of interior Sindh.
Kamal also expressed a hope that they will succeed to make Karachi a developed city again. He appealed to the state to give across-the-board immensity to MQM youth and withdraw cases against them.
Mustafa Kamal also said he is agree to work under the leadership of MQM-P Convener Khalid Maqbool Saddiqui.
MQM Restoration Committee chief and veteran leader Farooq Sattar also announced his merger with the MQM-P for the greater interest of the community and party.
Earlier, Mustafa Kamal reached Bahadurabad in the form of a rally in which all the central leadership of the PSP was present with him.
The PSP workers participated in the rally carrying the party flags while the MQM-P leaders welcomed Mustafa Kamal on his arrival at Bahadurabad.
It is important some worker of the MQM suffered a heart attack during the press conference and was immediately shifted to hospital after the announcement of Farooq Sattar from the dice.
On a query, Siddiqui said Governor Kamran Tessori is a nominee of MQM but a representative of Sindh and played a very good role to reunite the MQM.
About the wall chocking in favour of the founder of MQM in Karachi, Siddiqui they only welcome the people who are with the slogan of “Long Live Pakistan” and against the slogan of “Down with Pakistan”.
Siddiqui also answered a query about the scheduled Local Government Elections on January 15 and categorically stated that the LG Polls in Karachi will not be held without correct delimitations and correct voters' lists.
To a query about any chances of merger of MQM Haqiqi head Afaq Ahmad, Siddiqui said they will welcome him if he has a feeling about Muhajirs.
Answering a question, Farooq Sattar said they have suggested the united MQM to quit the federal government.
