Fog shuts vehicular movement on motorways in Islamabad, Punjab, KP

Fog has disrupted vehicular traffic on several sections of motorways which have been shut to avoid any road mishaps in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.


The federal capital too is in the grip of dense fog due to which several motorways have been closed.


M1 has been shut from Peshawar to Swabi. M2 has been closed from Islamabad to Kot Momin. Swat Expressway is closed from Colonel Sher Khan to Ismaila. M14 from Kharpa Interchange to Daud Khel has been closed for all types of traffic due to heavy fog.


In Lahore, M2 from Lahore to Kot Momin is closed due to fog. M3 is closed from Faizpur to Darkhana, M11 from Lahore to Sialkot, M4 from Multan to Faisalabad, M5 from Sher Shah to Rohri have been closed for all traffic.


Motorway police advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during fog.
