A peace jirga was held in the Sui area of Balochistan on Sunday, in which Inspector-General, Frontier Constabulary (FC), North Major General Abid Mazhar, tribal elders, social workers, representatives of district administration, and prominent local persons of the area participated, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the channel report, participants of the Jirga expressed their complete confidence in measures adopted by security agencies for maintaining law and order in the area.
On this occasion, the FC chief said that the provision of foolproof security to local residents of the area is the prime responsibility of law enforcement agencies.
He assured the participants that FC will continue providing their services for the provision of health and education in the area.
It is also pertinent to mention here that in December 2024, Frontier Corps (North) organised a grand youth jirga in the Sui district of Balochistan.
Representatives of Bugti Youth Moment, Sui Youth Moment, Cricket Association Sui, Football Association Sui, and newly-elected councillors attended the jirga aimed at promoting measures for peace and prosperity in Dera Bugti and Sui.
The moot took up issues related to law and order, education, health, water, gas supply, and unemployment.
The FC officials said the Baloch youth are the future of Pakistan, and a peaceful and prosperous Balochistan is the guarantee of a strong Pakistan.
