The foreign airlines have made massive fare raise following the ban on the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) imposed by the UK, Europe and the US after the issue of bogus credentials of the national pilots made headlines.

Expatriates have expressed their concerns at the skyrocketing surge in the prices of air ticket by the foreign airline. Foreign airlines are charging from £2,000 to £3,000 for Pakistan.

Some of oversees Pakistanis in the UK complained that they could not attend the funerals of their dear ones in Pakistan because the foreign airlines ticket prices are skyrocketed.

Chaudhry Ejaz Ahmad Bau , a note person in Bradford – where the 2011 Census recorded 106,614 Pakistanis, 20.4 per cent of the total population – and his family could not make it to Pakistan to attend the funeral of his maternal uncle due to such a massive surge in foreign airlines fares.

Ex-lord mayor Raja Ghazanfar Khaliq called upon the government to take up with international comity of the nations so that the national airline could be permitted to revive flight operations in the UK and Europe where a good number of Pakistanis are serving.
