Shujat promised change in March, he must tell whole truth: Fazl

July 12, 2020 12:08 AM

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazl-ur-Rehman has asked PML President Chaudhry Shujat Hussain to speak the whole truth since he is the one who said ‘change’ will take place in March.

Talking to the media after visiting Jamia Binoria where he offered condolences to Mufti Naeem’s family over the sad demise of the religious scholar, Fazl asked Shujat: “What happened to the promise about the change in March? Please elaborate!”

Fazl said his party saved Islamabad from bloodshed. He said all opposition parties were united on the point that a bogus government was imposed on the nation through rigged elections. He said the incumbent government is bogus and it came into power through bogus vote and bogus mandate.

“You say it is up to them whether they leave or they don’t. We ask, why they came? Those who brought this government are equally responsible. They imposed an illegal government on people through vote rigging therefore it is obvious from the budget that Pakistan’s economy has collapsed. All those people, who had the elections rigged to bring these people into power, are responsible for this and they imposed this incompetent man on the nation,” Fazl said while referring to the incumbent PTI-led government and Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Answering a question about his meeting with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Karachi on Friday, Fazl said he had a good meeting with them. He said that national political issues came under discussion at the meeting.

Later, Fazl called on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and former Senate chairman Raza Rabbani at his residence in Karachi. The two leaders discussed the incumbent government’s plans to make changes to the 18th constitutional amendment and the national political situation.
