The protective bund of Nullah Dek in Shakargarh has been broken down submerging crops growing on acres of land, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Reportedly, Nullah Dek in Shakargarh attained a high-level flood owing to which its protective bund gave in immersing the nearby populated areas. The water also deluged the standing crops grown on hundreds of acres of land.
According to the irrigation department, at present 30,000 cusecs water was flowing in the Nullah. It said that the Nullah Dek had attained its highest level of water inflow which caused the dismantling of the protective bund.
