Justice Farooq becomes acting IHC chief justice

Justice Amir Farooq took charge of the acting chief justice of Islamabad High Court on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani administered the oath of Justice Farooq in Islamabad. 

During the oath-taking ceremony, the notification approved by President Dr Arif Alvi regarding appointment of Justice Farooq as acting chief justice was read. 

According to the notification issued by Law Ministry on July 4, Justice Farooq would be the acting chief justice of Islamabad High Court from July 12 till August 25. 

Incumbent IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah has gone abroad on leave.
