On the completion of one-year jail term to party founder Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Sunni Etihad Council (SIC) parliamentary party leaders agree to hold protest on August 5, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On August 5, PTI founder's detention in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi will reach 365 days.
During the parliamentary party meeting, PTI and SIC MNAs also agree to launch a protest drive against the government.
Meanwhile, PTI MNA Sheikh Akram Waqas and Zartaj Gul exchanged harsh words with each other over slogans raised by MNA Sanaullah Mastikhel during the meeting.
MNA Sheikh Waqas while expressing his opinion in the parliamentary party meeting said that every issue is delayed due to which the party was suffering.
He urged the leaders to adopt aggressive policy otherwise it will dent the party’s cause.
During the meeting, Zartaj Gul gave a shut-up call to MNA Sanaullah Mastikhel by saying that during party meeting raising slogans was not fair.
Sheikh Waqqas Akram expressed displeasure at Zartaj Gull’s gesture. On this Zartaj said it was not right place to raise slogans here, we will see who raises better slogans outside Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, MNA Asad Qaiser requested both leaders to avoid arguments. He urged the party leaders to go outside the Supreme Court and register the protest. On this Sheikh Waqas Akram left the meeting in an unpleasant mood.
