President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was accorded a warm welcome on Thursday as he arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official visit to Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif along with his cabinet ministers including Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi warmly received the visiting dignitary.
During the visit, the President of Azerbaijan will hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The two sides will engage in wide-ranging discussions on areas of mutual interest to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Several agreements and MoUs are expected to be signed during the Azeri’s president’s visit.
