The federal government has imposed a ban on the import of wheat and the export of flour and in this regard, the Ministry of Commerce has issued a notification, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The federal government has amended the Import and Export Policy Orders 2022. Ministry of Commerce’s notification said that the import of wheat will be banned while the export of flour made from imported wheat will also be banned.

Earlier, Shehbaz government had conditionally allowed the export of flour made of imported wheat in March.

The government had permitted the export of flour made of imported wheat under Export Facilitation Scheme 2021.
