Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that the pact with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be done this month as Pakistan has fulfilled all the conditions.
The PM confirmed that the IMF authorities have given a verbal assurance for the deal to his government and now it will be inked in the current month.
Shehbaz Sharif also said that he will address the nation if the IMF agreement is delayed.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the PM addressed the ceremony at Sabzazar Sports Complex in Lahore on Sunday and reiterated that economic stability cannot be achieved without political stability in the country.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said despite the economic difficulties, his government increased government employees' salaries from 17.5 per cent to 35 per cent.
Shehbaz Sharif said in 2018, the fascist government came by rigging and stopped all the development projects of the previous governments.
The PM said The previous government stopped the pace of development in Pakistan and CPEC projects worth billions of dollars were terminated.
PM Shehbaz Sharif also said that the previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) refrained from buying cheap gas and made efforts to send opponents to jail.
