Commenting on the national budget to be presented later today, PTI-SIC Parliamentary Leader Zartaj Gul said on Wednesday that the budget was not people-friendly, but reflective of the dictates of the IMF, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking at the PTI-SIC parliamentary party meeting held at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) House in Islamabad, she said even the government had no idea what was contained in the budget.
“PPP is not stating the facts about the budget because it is supporting the government,” she said, adding, “There is no doubt that it is due to the PPP that the present ‘Form 47 government’ is still there.”
Zartaj alleged that the PPP was completely on board during the passage of the defamation bill by the Punjab Assembly.
“The economic indicators are bad,” she said, adding, “While during the PTI government, the country’s economic growth rate had reached 6, it nosedived to ‘0’ during the present government.”
The situation was so bad, PTI-SIC leader went on to say, that the economy would not be able to recover from the slump it was facing these days even until 2030.
