Karachi Kings set 197 target for Lahore Qalandars

Karachi Kings have set a 197-run target for Lahore Qalandars in the 30th match of the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) eighth edition being played at Qadhafi Stadium here on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.  

The guest side posted 196 after losing seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs, with the help of Muhammad Akhlaq, Imad Waseem and Tayyab Tahir who made 51, 45, and 40 respectively. 

Akhlaq and Tayyab’s 70-run partnership helped their team produce a respectable total against the defending champions.

Qalandars bowlers Zaman Khan, Haris Rauf and Hussain Talat took two wicket each.  

Earlier, Karachi Kings have won the toss and decided to bat against Lahore Qalandars. 

David Wiese is leading Lahore Qalandars as Shaheen Afridi is rested. 

It is to be noted here that Lahore Qalandars have played nine matches in PSL 8 so far, and they remained victorious in seven of them.

They are the table-toppers on the PSL points table with 14 points.

On the other hand, Karachi Kings too have played nine matches in PSL 8 so far, and they remained victorious in only two of them.

Wicket-keeper batsman Muhammad Akhlaq is making his debut for Karachi Kings.
