Spell of heavy rains continued in Balochistan during the past 24hours resultantly Pak-Iran rail services links were disrupted, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Amid heavy downpour, flooding like situation was reported in Quetta, Gwadar, Turbat, Naushki, Pashin and Chama areas of Balochistan. Meanwhile, amid heavy snowfall and landslides, Kumrat-Kalam main road remained blocked for all types of traffic.
According to the residents of Upper Dir, despite the lapse of one month, civil administration was not paying heed to restore the Kalam Kumrat road as a results residents of the area were facing troubles. The residents complained that the civil administration was performing at social media while practical steps wee not be taken at the site.
According to Met office, rain-wind/thunderstorm was expected in Waziristan, Kohat, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Bajaur, Karak, Khyber, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan and Kurram during next 48 hours. In some areas isolated heavy fall and hailstorm was also expected during next 24 hours.
Rain-wind/thunderstorm while snowfall over the hills was expected in Gilgit-Baltistan’s Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar as well as in Kashmir’s Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur areas from 11th & 12 (night) to 15th March.
The thunderstorm with few heavyfalls was expected in Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali and Bhakkar during next 24 hours. Rain was also expected in Multan, Kot Addu, Layyah, Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Khanpur, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar on 13th March. Meanwhile rain-wind/thunderstorm was also expected in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana and Dadu during next 24 hours.
