Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry giving a strong reaction over announcing unofficial Eid from some clerics suggested to avoid lying about moon sighting when it was impossible to observe in Pakistan by its little age.

According to 24NewsHD TV Channel, the Federal Minister in his recent tweet on Wednesday said the people who want to celebrate Eid with Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, was their option but what logic behind it to conclude the holy month by lying?

Fawad Chaudhry said in the tweet that the age of the moon in Pakistan is 13 hours and 42 minutes when the people were making announcements of moonsighting, so it is not possible to see the moon today (May 12, 2021).

He suggested that it would be wise for the people who were involved to announce unofficial Eid Day to clearly say to celebrate Eid according to Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia.

It’s pertinent to mention here that some of the clerics belonging close to the western borders of Pakistan announced to get much evidences of moonsighting to celebrate Eid on Thursday.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee denied getting any mature evidence of moonsighting across the country so Eid should be celebrated on Friday, May 14. The committee used some science-based devices to observe the birth of the Shawal moon too.

Earlier, the Meteorological Department referring astronomical parameters had said there was "no chance" of citing the Shawal moon on Wednesday as it would be born on crossing conjunction point at "00-01 PST on May 12, 2021".
